It came and went by so quickly… the “finger drumming round table” at Sample Music Festival 2018 in Berlin. It was a pleasure to meet so many great people who drive forward the art and business of finger drumming. At the finger drumming round table, finger drumming-legend and -idol David “Fingers” Haynes, Clockwerk and Andreas Samek from XpressPads demonstrated their work and methods between group discussions on finger drumming techniques, approaches, histories, and backgrounds. The finger drumming round table was hosted by finger drummer and drum teacher Tim Kroker who is also part of the org-team of the Sample Music Festival. It was also a pleasure to meet Ruth from Melodics and Andy Mac from AKAI who spoke about their work in the finger drumming and beat making business.
