[This question was asked by a customer via email] Hi, I ordered a Maschine Mikro mk2 and wanted to get everything ready before I buy the course. So I downloaded the preset for the Maschine Mikro but I cannot use it as it is in an old version and does not contain the entries for the mk2 version. Would you mind to update it? PS: I downloaded the Native Instruments Controller Editor v1.9.3 directly from the NI homepage. Marked as spam

Hi […], Thank you for your inquiry and the heads-up. I will update the website presets shortly. For the time being – and for the fact that the website presets for Maschine are only usable when the device is set to MIDI mode (to be used as a generic midi controller outside the Maschine software) – you may also be interested in setting up your Machine to use virtual drum modules WITHIN the Maschine software. These videos show you how to do that for two different workflows: https://youtu.be/mHm0jteNwVI The preset I built in the second video can be downloaded from this blog post so you don’t have to invest the time building it on your own: Marked as spam

Hi Andreas, Thank you for the fast reply and the links. It makes sense to configure it like you said. As soon as my pad controller is here I will join your course Keep up the great work Marked as spam

Hi Andreas, Somehow the notes does not match the numbers (http://computermusicresource.com/GM.Percussion.KeyMap.html) http://www.xpresspads.com/learn-finger-drumming-now/xpresspads-standard-midi-layout/ The other layout seems to fit. It took quite a while to figure it out Like 36 is C1 and not C2. Marked as spam

Yes, that 12-note (or sometimes even 24-note) offset is a common problem when it comes to the GM “standard”. Some manufacturers deviate from that standard. Marked as spam

Thank you. I attached the GM midi layout I made for Addictive Drums 2 and NI Drumlab as you also already mentioned GM is not always GM I also colored them according to your PDF (like green / yellow / red…). A friend of mine has even more drum libraries and if I get the chance I will add them. May I ask which library and sound you used for your demo video? That’s cool! Thank you. I recorded the demo videos with Addictive Drums. It’s my favorite virtual drum module. The demo video contains shots with different ADpaks though. Marked as spam
