[This question was asked by a customer via email] Your mirror-split approach is really interesting and seems really logical to me (also not a drummer by training). I myself am an amateur producer and beat maker. My goal with finger drumming is to play in my drum parts instead of sequencing them – to make the patterns more human and to inject a better groove. As such, I am not as concerned with being able to play the bass line, melody, chords, etc. all in real time. At most, I would probably record each part in one at a time. PS – If you don’t mind chatting a bit more, I am curious about the origin of your technique. Did you see some others using this “mirror” split-pad idea and then refine it, or was this your sole idea? Your technique really appeals to me. When I watch you playing an advanced pattern, your fingers move very efficiently and ergonomically. By comparison, Jeremy Ellis and others look like they are playing a game of finger Twister on their controller. Very unnatural and not ergonomic. Marked as spam
