Standard layout and Ez Drummer

Hi all,
I’ve load “STANDARD FINGER DRUMMING LAYOUT” preset for akai mpd218 from here https://www.xpresspads.com/finger-drumming-presets-and-layouts/hardware-presets/hardware-presets-for-akai-mpd218/ and when I run ez drummer hi-tom(D3) is mapped on crash instead of hi-tom.

Is it a mistake in the layout or I should adjust pad?

Hi,

Unfortunately that’s a common issue with EZdrummer. The midi mappings cannot be changed in EZdrummer. They are hard-wired in the software… and unfortunately not general midi all the way through. This means that for EZdrummer you need to make slight adjustments to the standard presets that you find on the XpressPads website.

There are threads on the Toontrack forum about this and many people find this limitation inappropriate and everything else, but EZ.

Cheers,

Andreas

ah, ok, ty Andreas.
And what about addictive drums? Should I configure addictive drums for layout or just installing layout will be enough?

In Addictive Drums you can go to the mapping window and simply choose the GM Template. That will work fine, also for all the ADpaks. Cheers, Andreas
