Hi Emerico,

Many thanks for your purchase!

Which version of windows do you use?
What is your default audio player on windows?
Do you use ASIO?

Thanks

Hi Andreas,

thanks for your quick reply. The Windows version I use is Windows 7 home Premium Edition (64 bit) and I have Windows Media Player as a default audio player. As far as ASIO is concerned, it should be installed, at least that’s what it seems like checking my DAW ( Reaper)

Hi Emerico,
Your technical specs seem to be perfectly fine.
In some occasions programs that use the asio driver occupy it exclusively, which means that you can only hear sound coming from one application that’s currently running on your computer, but not from two or more. Here’s a discussion on that topic with some valuabe tips on how to solve the issue:

Please let me know if this doesn’t work for you.
Thanks and best regards

Hi Andreas,
I checked the discussion you linked and first of all I’ve tried to change the default audio player (from Windows Media Player to VLC), but nothing happened. Then I tried the different ASIO drivers on the virtual drum software I use (EZ Drummer), ASIO4All and FL Studio ASIO, EZ Drummer keeps working, but the exercises remain dead silent…

p.s. I forgot to say that I use Focusrite Saffire 6 USB as my audio device…Could it somehow depend on it?

Hi Emerico,

Well, that’s really puzzling me… With all other applications being closed, does the eCourse output any sound when you press the play buttons?

Also, could you please make sure to update your Internet Explorer to the latest version?

Hope this helps. If not, please let me know.

Thanks and best regards

Andreas

Hi Andreas,
unfortunately having other apps open or closed doesn’t make any difference…
About Internet Explorer, I actually don’t use it anymore as default browser so I didn’t update it since Internet Explorer 8…I’ve tried to install Explorer 11 which is the latest version but it seems like my system (Windows 7) doesn’t support that… So I’ve downloaded a system upgrade but before installing it, do you confirm that Internet Explorer 8 is obsolete and that could be the problem preventing the course from working?
Thanks a lot again

Hi Emerico,
It could solve the problem, yes. It hasn’t been reported to me for a long time, but I do remember that updating the IE in a prior technical issure report solved the problem. So, I’m hopeful that updating IE will solve the problem.
Good luck!
Andreas
