Finger Drumming On MPC Element with MPC Essentials

[This question was asked by a customer via email]

Hello,

Few weeks ago, I took the complete program and it wasn’t working on my computer. Since this time, I make a factory update and all is going on fine now. I contact you to know how to install on my MPC Essentials software the sound there is on your site. I have also the Ableton Push.

On my MPC, a message say that we cannot load the banks. I didn’t try on Ableton Push.
Thank you.

Hi […]

I’ve investigated and I see that neither in the MPC Essentials software, nor in the MPC Standard software there is a way to import “midi control scenes”. I use MPC Essentials very rarely, but I googled a bit and it seems like the way to do it is to prepare a mapping and save it with the project, and then make the project the “default” project. Honestly, I don’t know why AKAI implemented the function of saving midi control scenes when there’s no way to import them in other projects, but that’s a question I cannot answer.

FYI, there are two things that I found helpful:

Hope this helps in any way.

Have you considered buying a simple generic pad controller for finger drumming? The AKAI MPD218 has great pads, a good software package (including virtual drum kits), covers all needs and costs just 99 Euros.
