Novation Circuit can be used for finger drumming. This makes it a stand alone finger drumming tool you can use anywhere. Just one gotcha: it is monophonic (version 1.3). Should be no problem if you are just starting out with Xpresspads though. The sample set is from Garageband Motown drums and “weighs” 3MB. Any suggestions where I might host it? It features the basic 8 drums (sd, bd, hho, hhc, tml, tmh, ride, crsh) plus clap, rimshot and cowbell. Hey buis, That’s great! – Many thanks for having put together this sample set! I’m a bit worried about the sample licenses. Have you read the Garageband EULA? Does it tell something about the re-publishing or re-sampling of their content? – I’m just asking because that would answer the question if we could put it on the XpressPads website for download (e.g. on this forum, or – if more sample sets were added to a group of sample sets – in the presets area of the website). Ah. There might be a snag there; you can republish music but not republish “audio loops”: “individual audio loops may not be commercially or otherwise distributed on a standalone basis, nor may they be repackaged in whole or in part as audio samples, sound effects or music beds” (https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT201808) so though it is pretty cool that I appear to have created a “music bed”, it might cutting it be too close for comfort with the licence… Oh well. At least now it’s documented. Marked as spam
