Hey Camac,

Do you run the program as a vst in your DAW? – If you installed it to the standard plugins folder on your Mac, your DAW should recognize it and it should be up and ready to run.

Cheers!

I’ve downloaded the BigBang2.5.pkg and the BigBangDrums.pkg installed it and registered the Big Bang Cinematic Hardware Bundle with iLok. Upon installation, it creates a shortcut for Big Bang Authorizer in my desktop, however when I try to open it, a splash screen appears for a second and then nothing happens.
My MPD218 also came with Ableton Life Lite and I had no problems with the install. I’ve also used the pad with GarageBand with no problem.
So…
Do I need to run Ableton in order to run Big Bang? Does the Big Bang software need any other plugins or addons to run properly?
I’ve downloaded all of this software from the Akai Pro webpage and not directly from SoniVox, could this be affecting the install?
Please help! Thanks in advance.

Ugh… that sounds like a problem indeed.

Sounds like you installed correctly. How big is the install package on your hard drive. Should be several GBs. Have you tried running the vsts in your DAW? If that doesn’t work I’m afraid you’ll need to contact the sonivox support because this really sounds like a specific issue.

Good luck!

No probs. Anytime! Can you see the meters of your DAW react on anything you do? Like when you hit a pad, does your midi-in meter reflect that there is midi data coming in? and does the audio meter show anything when you hit a pad or click on one of the kit pieces on the GUI? If so, you should check your audio-out settings in your DAW. Cheers!
